Biscuits & Gravy Breakfast Casserole – A Hearty and Comforting Breakfast Favorite!

This Biscuits & Gravy Breakfast Casserole combines flaky biscuits, savory sausage, creamy gravy, and fluffy eggs into one irresistible dish. Perfect for brunch or family gatherings!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage mild or spicy
  • 1 can 16 oz refrigerated biscuits
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet 2.75 oz sausage gravy mix
  • 2 cups water

Method
 

  1. Preheat the Oven:
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. Cook the Sausage:
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  5. Prepare the Gravy:
  6. In the same skillet, whisk together the sausage gravy mix and 2 cups of water. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Stir in the cooked sausage and set aside.
  7. Cut the Biscuits:
  8. Cut each biscuit into quarters and spread the pieces evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  9. Layer the Casserole:
  10. Pour the sausage and gravy mixture evenly over the biscuit pieces.
  11. Prepare the Egg Mixture:
  12. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  13. Assemble the Casserole:
  14. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and gravy layer. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  15. Bake the Casserole:
  16. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  17. Cool and Serve:
  18. Allow the casserole to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Slice into squares and enjoy!
