  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds Optional, can be substituted with flaxseeds.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For extra flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon sweetener Maple syrup or honey works well.
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles Use themed sprinkles for special occasions.
Optional Toppings

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl or jar, combine rolled oats, milk, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and sweetener. Stir well until everything is nicely combined.
  2. Gently fold in the sprinkles, saving some for topping later.
  3. Cover the mixture and place it in the refrigerator overnight (or at least for 4 hours).
Serving
  1. In the morning, give your oats a good stir. If desired, add more milk to reach your preferred consistency.
  2. Top with fresh fruits, nuts, or a sprinkle of yogurt for extra creaminess.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheating in the microwave doesn't work as well; enjoy cold or add a splash of milk if heating.
