Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. If your ham doesn’t come pre-sliced, score the surface in a diamond pattern to help the glaze penetrate.
Make the Glaze
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper until well combined.
Glazing and Baking
  1. Place the ham in a roasting pan and brush a generous amount of the glaze over it, ensuring it seeps into the creases.
  2. Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting with the remaining glaze every 30 minutes.
  3. Remove the foil during the last 20 minutes of baking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
Serving
  1. Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use a high-quality ham for better flavor. Be generous with the glaze for a thick caramelized crust. Store leftovers in an airtight container and consume within 3 to 5 days. Reheat gently in the oven.
