Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
Layering
- Place a layer of thinly sliced potatoes in the baking dish, overlapping them slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the cheese. Whisk until combined.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the first layer of potatoes. Repeat with another layer of potatoes and the remaining cream mixture.
- Cover the top layer of potatoes with the remaining cheese and sprinkle with paprika.
Baking
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to four days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes.
