- Begin by finding a large mixing bowl for tossing the cereal and chocolate mixture.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the lemonade mix and vanilla extract into the melted mixture until creamy.
- Pour the Chex cereal into the melted white chocolate mixture and gently fold until coated.
- In a separate container, combine powdered sugar and lemon zest (if using). Transfer the coated Chex cereal into the container and shake to coat.
- Spread the mixture on a baking sheet or parchment paper to cool, then serve or store in airtight containers.
Notes
For optimal enjoyment, store in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature. Refrigeration is fine for longer storage. Thaw in an open container if frozen to avoid sogginess.
