Method
Cooking the Pasta
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Beef
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until it’s browned and fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Use a spatula to break it up into small pieces while it cooks.
- Once the beef is cooked, add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Creating the Sauce
- Pour in the heavy cream, then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.
Combining
- Add the cooked rotini to the skillet with the sauce, tossing everything together until the pasta is well coated.
Serving
- Divide the pasta among plates and top with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using lean ground turkey or chicken. Timing is crucial for draining the pasta to avoid mushiness. Keep heat moderate while making the sauce to prevent separation.
