  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets Chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup raisins Can substitute with craisins for variation
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or your choice
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds Can try different seeds like pumpkin seeds
Dressing Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Can use Greek yogurt for a lighter option
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by rinsing the broccoli florets under cool water and chop them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, raisins, shredded cheese, and sunflower seeds. Toss them gently to combine.
  3. In a separate small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sugar, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and gently fold everything together until coated.
  5. Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste and mix again.
  6. Cover the salad and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, allow the salad to chill before serving. Can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
