Ingredients

For the trifle
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries—fresh or frozen) Choose seasonal fruits for best flavor.
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package ladyfinger biscuits Can substitute with sponge cake or shortbread cookies.
  • 2 tablespoons berry jam or syrup Optional for extra flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash fresh berries under cold water and pat them dry. Slice strawberries if they are large.
  2. Set aside mixed berries in a bowl and drizzle some syrup or jam over them for added sweetness.
Whipping Cream
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  2. Using an electric mixer, whip until soft peaks form, being careful not to overwhip.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gently fold mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream mixture, maintaining light and airy texture.
Layering
  1. In a trifle dish, place a layer of ladyfinger biscuits at the bottom.
  2. Add a layer of the mascarpone mixture followed by a layer of berries. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with a mascarpone layer on top.
Chill & Serve
  1. Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  2. When ready to serve, add additional berries or a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top.

Notes

Avoid freezing, as this will change the texture. Best consumed within 2-3 days.
