Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces ripe pears, halved and cored Use Bartlett or Bosc pears for best texture
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped Or substitute with pecans if allergic
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the pears in half and carefully remove the core to create a cozy little pocket for the topping.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped walnuts, brown sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and melted butter. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Place the pear halves in a baking dish, cut side up. Generously spoon the cream cheese mixture onto each pear half, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25–30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil for the final 10 minutes to allow the tops to get crispy and golden brown.
Serving
  1. Once baked to perfection, let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
