  • 4 ripe peaches Opt for ripe peaches that yield slightly when pressed.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter Cut into small pieces.
  • 1 scoop Vanilla ice cream For serving, optional.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the peaches in half and remove the pits. You can leave the skin on for added texture or peel them if you prefer.
  3. Place the peach halves cut side up in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon until thoroughly combined.
  5. Sprinkle a generous amount of the brown sugar mixture over each peach half.
  6. Cut the butter into small pieces and place one piece on top of each peach half.
  7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and caramelized.
  8. Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an added creaminess.

Notes

Keep an eye on the peaches as they bake; adjust baking time as necessary. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days, or wrap and freeze for up to 3 months.
