Preparation
- Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, pineapple juice, ketchup, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk until well blended.
- Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, making sure they are thoroughly coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes; overnight is best.
- Arrange for Baking: Place the marinated chicken on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and pour remaining marinade over it.
Cooking
- Bake: Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Garnish & Serve: Once baked, remove the chicken from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, and top with chopped green onions before serving.
