  • 4 pieces cod fillets (fresh or thawed) Choose fresh cod for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Melt for the garlic butter mixture.
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Adjust to taste for more or less heat.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed is preferred.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish) Adds a pop of freshness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden.
  3. Stir in the Cajun seasoning and lemon juice. Mix well to combine everything and remove from heat.
  4. Place the cod fillets in a baking dish, and season them with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the cod fillets, making sure they are generously coated.
Cooking
  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Once cooked, remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.
