Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, these air fryer sweet potato fries are a healthier alternative to traditional fries. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes peeled and cut into thin fries
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper for extra spice

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Prepare the Sweet Potatoes:
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into even-sized fries, about 1/4 inch thick. Try to keep them uniform for even cooking.
  3. Season the Fries:
  4. In a large mixing bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add cayenne pepper if you like a bit of heat. Ensure the fries are evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the Air Fryer:
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
  7. Cook the Fries:
  8. Arrange the sweet potato fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. Work in batches if needed.
  9. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even crisping. Cook until the fries are golden and crispy on the edges.
  10. Serve:
  11. Remove the fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, ranch, or a spicy aioli.
