Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 3 large russet potatoes scrubbed clean
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika smoked or regular
  • 1/2 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano optional
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Prep the Potatoes:
  • Cut the potatoes into wedges: slice each potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 3-4 wedges, depending on size.
  • Soak the Potatoes:
  • Soak the potato wedges in cold water for 15-20 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps achieve extra crispiness. Drain and pat them completely dry with a paper towel.
  • Season the Wedges:
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and oregano until evenly coated.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer:
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Air Fry the Wedges:
  • Place the seasoned potato wedges in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 400°F for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the wedges are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve:
  • Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, aioli, or ranch.
