Ingredients
  

Donut Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk (or non-dairy milk)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (or a dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings
  • to taste powdered sugar
  • to taste cinnamon sugar
  • to taste chocolate glaze

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Air Fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Scoop the donut batter into a piping bag and pipe circles into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each one.
Cooking
  1. Air fry the donuts for 5-6 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Cook in batches if necessary.
  2. Let the donuts cool for a few minutes before tossing them in powdered sugar or glaze.

Notes

Donuts can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or frozen for up to a month. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
