Ingredients

For the Filling
  • 1 cup Apple Pie Filling store-bought or homemade
For the Dough
  • 1 can Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough (8 oz)
For the Coating
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for cinnamon sugar mixture
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for cinnamon sugar mixture
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted, for brushing

Method

Preparation
  1. If using pre-made apple pie filling, there’s no need to do much. For homemade, cook diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of lemon juice until soft.
  2. Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to preheat.
  3. On a clean surface, unroll the crescent dough and separate it into four rectangles, pinching the seams together to form a solid sheet.
  4. In the center of each rectangle, place a generous tablespoon of apple pie filling.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and press the seams to seal tightly. Shape them into balls or leave them rectangular.
  6. Lightly brush the tops of each bomb with melted butter.
Cooking
  1. Place the prepared bombs in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd.
  2. Cook for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Quickly toss the warm bombs in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well-coated.
  4. Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy fresh while warm.

Notes

To ensure perfect churro apple pie bombs, avoid overfilling, seal seams tightly, experiment with spices, and monitor cooking time carefully. Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
