Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Tongs

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil spray
  • Optional Sauces for Tossing:
  • Buffalo sauce
  • BBQ sauce
  • Honey garlic sauce
  • Teriyaki sauce

Instructions

  • Prep the Wings:
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps achieve a crispy texture.
  • Season the Wings:
  • In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss the wings in the mixture until evenly coated.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer:
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Cook the Wings:
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil. Arrange the wings in a single layer without overcrowding.
  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through. The wings should be golden brown and crispy, with an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
  • Toss in Sauce (Optional):
  • If desired, toss the cooked wings in your favorite sauce immediately after removing them from the air fryer.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
  • Serve the wings hot with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing.
