Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Cooking spray (optional)
  • Meat thermometer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken Breasts:
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to ensure they cook evenly and get a nice sear.
  • Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil on both sides.
  • Season the Chicken:
  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts, pressing it gently to adhere.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer:
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Cook the Chicken:
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 18-20 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) when checked with a meat thermometer.
  • Rest and Serve:
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after removing it from the air fryer to allow the juices to redistribute. Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
