      Equipment:

      • Mixing bowls
      • Large skillet or grill pan
      • Tongs
      • Small whisk
      • Serving platter

      • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
      • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
      • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
      • Salt and pepper, to taste

      For the Slaw:

      • 2 cups shredded cabbage (red or green)
      • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
      • Juice of 1 lime
      • 1 tablespoon olive oil
      • Salt and pepper, to taste

      For the Sauce:

      • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
      • 2 tablespoons sour cream
      • 1 tablespoon lime juice
      • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
      • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

      For Assembly:

      • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
      • Optional toppings: diced avocado, sliced jalapeños, crumbled cotija cheese, lime wedges

      Instructions:

      1. Season the Shrimp:
In a mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
      2. Make the Slaw:
In another bowl, combine shredded cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss well and set aside.
      3. Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, hot sauce (if using), and garlic powder. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside.
      4. Cook the Shrimp:
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
      5. Warm the Tortillas:
Heat the tortillas in a dry skillet, on a grill, or in the microwave until pliable and warm.
      6. Assemble the Tacos:
Fill each tortilla with a portion of slaw, followed by a few shrimp. Drizzle with the sauce and add optional toppings like avocado or cotija cheese.
      7. Serve:
Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.

      Presentation Ideas:

      • Arrange tacos on a large platter with colorful toppings and lime wedges for a vibrant display.
      • Serve alongside a bowl of tortilla chips and salsa for a complete meal.

      Tips:

      • For extra flavor, grill the shrimp instead of pan-searing.
      • Double the sauce recipe to use as a dip for chips or drizzle over rice.
      • If using frozen shrimp, thaw them thoroughly and pat dry before seasoning.

Shrimp tacos are the perfect combination of fresh, zesty, and savory. They’re quick to prepare, endlessly customizable, and always a hit. Treat your taste buds to these vibrant tacos and make every meal feel like a fiesta!
