Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes are the perfect fusion of two comfort food classics. Juicy ground beef is cooked with onions, peppers, and a rich, cheesy sauce, then piled high onto soft buns. This recipe is a quick, crowd-pleasing dinner that’s ideal for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

      Equipment:

      • Large skillet
      • Wooden spoon or spatula
      • Measuring cups and spoons
      • Small bowl
      • Baking sheet (optional, for toasting buns)

      Ingredients:

      • 1 pound ground beef
      • 1 tablespoon olive oil
      • 1 small onion, diced
      • 1 green bell pepper, diced
      • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
      • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
      • 1 tablespoon ketchup
      • 1 cup beef broth
      • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
      • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or sliced)
      • Salt and pepper to taste
      • 4–6 hamburger buns

      Instructions:

      1. Cook the Beef and Vegetables:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened (about 3–4 minutes).
      2. Season the Mixture:
Stir in the garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Cook for 1–2 minutes to let the flavors blend.
      3. Make the Sauce:
Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir well. Gradually add the beef broth while stirring to create a thick, saucy consistency. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
      4. Add the Cheese:
Stir in the shredded provolone cheese until melted and fully combined. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
      5. Assemble the Sloppy Joes:
Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom halves of hamburger buns. Add the top buns to make sandwiches. Toast the buns beforehand for extra texture if desired.
      6. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve warm with your favorite sides, such as fries, chips, or a fresh salad.

      Tips:

      • Swap provolone with American or mozzarella cheese for a different flavor.
      • For a heartier option, use hoagie rolls instead of hamburger buns.
      • Add sautéed mushrooms for an extra Philly cheesesteak twist.

Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes are a fun and flavorful dinner that combines the best of two comfort food classics. Quick, cheesy, and utterly satisfying, this recipe will quickly become a family favorite!
