      • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
      • 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
      • 1/4 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
      • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
      • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs (optional)
      • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds, optional)
      • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)

      • Fork or potato masher
      • Baking sheet

      Instructions

      1. Preheat Oven:
        Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
      2. Mash the Bananas:
        In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
      3. Combine Ingredients:
        Add the oats, almond butter, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined.
        If desired, mix in dark chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or cinnamon for added flavor.
      4. Form the Cookies:
        Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Flatten slightly with the back of the spoon to form cookie shapes.
      5. Bake:

      6. Cool:
        Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
