      • 1 tsp dried basil
      • ½ tsp onion powder
      • Salt and pepper to taste

      For the Sauce:

      • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

      For the Subs:

      • 4–6 sub rolls or hoagie buns
      • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese

      3. Toast the Rolls:
        • Preheat your oven’s broiler.
        • Slice the sub rolls and spread a little butter on the insides if desired. Place them under the broiler for 1–2 minutes, until lightly toasted.

      Tips:

      • Add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
