Lemon pepper chicken wings are the ultimate blend of tangy and savory flavors. With a crispy exterior and a bold lemony kick, they’re easy to make and always a hit. Whether baked, fried, or air-fried, these wings are a guaranteed crowd favorite.

      Equipment:

      • Mixing bowls
      • Baking sheet with wire rack or air fryer
      • Parchment paper (if baking)
      • Tongs
      • Saucepan

      Ingredients:

      • 2 pounds chicken wings, split and tips removed
      • 2 tablespoons olive oil
      • 1 teaspoon baking powder (for crispy skin)
      • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
      • 1 teaspoon onion powder
      • 1 teaspoon paprika
      • Salt and pepper to taste

      For the Lemon Pepper Sauce:

      • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
      • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
      • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
      • Zest of 1 lemon

      Instructions:

      1. Prepare the Wings:
        • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
        • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss them with olive oil, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
      2. Cook the Wings:
        • Oven: Place the wings on a wire rack set over a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
        • Air Fryer: Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 20–25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
      3. Prepare the Lemon Pepper Sauce:
        • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the lemon pepper seasoning, lemon juice, and zest.
      4. Toss the Wings:
        • Transfer the cooked wings to a large bowl. Pour the lemon pepper sauce over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
      5. Serve:
        • Serve immediately with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese.

      Tips:

      • For extra crispy wings, pat them as dry as possible before seasoning.
      • Adjust the lemon pepper seasoning to suit your taste—add more for a stronger flavor or less for subtlety.
      • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or air fryer to retain crispiness.

Lemon pepper chicken wings are the perfect balance of crispy, tangy, and savory. Easy to prepare and bursting with flavor, they’re a must-try for your next gathering or weeknight indulgence. Enjoy them hot and fresh!
