      Irish Coffee Recipe

      Irish Coffee is the ultimate warm cocktail that combines the robust flavor of freshly brewed coffee with the rich, smooth taste of Irish whiskey. Sweetened with a touch of brown sugar and topped with a luscious whipped cream layer, this drink is a comforting delight.       Equipment:

      • Heatproof glass or mug
      • Spoon
      • Measuring spoons
      • Whisk or handheld frother

      Ingredients:

      • 1 cup hot brewed coffee
      • 1 ½ ounces (3 tablespoons) Irish whiskey
      • 2 teaspoons brown sugar (or granulated sugar)
      • 2 tablespoons heavy cream, lightly whipped

       

       

      Instructions:

      1. Prepare the Glass:
        Preheat your glass or mug by rinsing it with hot water. Pour out the water before making the drink.
      2. Combine Coffee, Whiskey, and Sugar:
        Add the brown sugar to the glass. Pour in the hot coffee and stir until the sugar dissolves.
      3. Add the Irish Whiskey:
        Stir in the Irish whiskey, blending it well with the coffee mixture.
      4. Top with Cream:
        Lightly whip the heavy cream until it thickens slightly but is still pourable. Gently float the cream on top of the coffee by pouring it over the back of a spoon.
      5. Serve:
        Do not stir. Drink through the cream for the classic Irish Coffee experience.

      Tips:

      • Use a rich, strong coffee for the best flavor.
      • Chill the cream briefly before whipping to help it thicken more easily.
      • For an extra indulgent version, sprinkle a dash of nutmeg or cocoa powder on top of the cream.
