      Instructions

      1. Prepare the Dough:
        • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
        • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy.

        • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
        • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight).
      2. Preheat Oven:
        • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
      3. Roll Out the Dough:
        • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/8-inch thickness.
        • Use cookie cutters to cut out rounds or your desired shape.
      4. Fill and Fold:
        • Place a small dollop of jam in the center of each cut-out. Sprinkle with chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips, if desired.
        • Fold the edges of the cookie over the filling, pinching gently to seal.
      5. Bake:
        • Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each.

        • Let cool completely on a wire rack.
      6. Dust with Powdered Sugar:
        • Once cooled, generously dust the cookies with powdered sugar for a sweet finish.

      Tips

      • Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough ensures it’s easy to work with and helps the cookies maintain their shape while baking.
      • Filling Options: Swap apricot jam for raspberry, cherry, or even fig preserves to suit your taste.
      • Storage: Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
