      Garlic Bread Recipe

      Garlic Bread is a classic side dish that never fails to please. With crispy edges, a soft buttery center, and the irresistible aroma of garlic and herbs, it’s the ultimate accompaniment to any Italian-inspired meal.       Equipment:

      Ingredients:

      • 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
      • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
      • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
      • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
      • ¼ teaspoon salt
      • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
      • Optional: ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

       

       

      Instructions:

      1. Preheat the Oven:
        Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
      2. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
        In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
      3. Slice the Bread:
        Cut the loaf in half lengthwise to create two flat pieces. Alternatively, slice the bread into thick individual slices for portioned garlic bread.
      4. Spread the Butter:
        Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread. For extra flavor, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
      5. Bake the Bread:
        Place the bread on the prepared baking sheet, buttered side up. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
      6. Optional Broiling:
        For a crispier top, switch the oven to broil for the last 1–2 minutes. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
      7. Serve:
        Remove the bread from the oven, slice into smaller pieces if needed, and serve warm.

      Tips:

      • For a garlicier kick, roast the garlic first to bring out its sweetness and intensity.
      • Add a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and broil for cheesy garlic bread.
