      • 1 small onion, diced
      • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
      • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
      • ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped (optional)
      • ½ cup diced pickles or peppers (optional)
      • ¼ cup mayonnaise
      • 2 tbsp ketchup
      • 1 tbsp mustard
      • 1 tsp garlic powder
      • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
      • Salt and pepper, to taste
      • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
      • Optional garnish: sesame seeds, parsley

      Equipment

      • Skillet
      • Rolling pin
      • Baking sheet
      • Parchment paper

      Instructions

      Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

      Step 2: Cook the Filling

      1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
      2. Add the ground beef or sausage and diced onion. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking up the meat as it cooks.
      3. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Drain any excess grease.

      Step 3: Prepare the Dough

      1. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12×16 inches.

Step 4: Assemble the Garbage Bread

      1. Spread the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard evenly over the dough.
      2. Layer the cooked meat mixture, shredded cheeses, bacon, and optional pickles or peppers over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

      Step 5: Roll the Bread

      1. Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a log, sealing the edges and ends tightly to prevent leaks.
      2. Place the roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 6: Apply the Egg Wash
Brush the entire surface of the bread with the beaten egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.

      Step 7: Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.

      Step 8: Slice and Serve
Let the Garbage Bread cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing into thick pieces. Serve warm with dipping sauces like marinara, ranch, or barbecue sauce.

      Tips

      • Use leftover rotisserie chicken, ham, or turkey for different flavors.
      • Add veggies like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra nutrients.
      • Prep ahead by assembling the bread and storing it in the fridge until ready to bake.
