Buffalo sauce is the ultimate blend of spicy, tangy, and buttery goodness. Whether you’re tossing it with wings, drizzling it over a sandwich, or using it as a dip, this sauce is a game-changer for flavor lovers. With just a few ingredients and minutes, you can whip up this homemade version that beats store-bought every time.

      Equipment:

      • Small saucepan
      • Whisk
      • Measuring cups and spoons
      • Airtight container (for storage)

      Ingredients:

      • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
      • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
      • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
      • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
      • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
      • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
      • Pinch of salt

      Instructions:

      1. Melt the Butter:
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter completely. Be careful not to let it brown.
      2. Combine Ingredients:
Once the butter is melted, whisk in the hot sauce, white vinegar, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper (if using).
      3. Heat Gently:
Cook the mixture over low heat for 2–3 minutes, whisking constantly. This allows the flavors to meld together without the butter separating.
      4. Taste and Adjust:
Taste your buffalo sauce and add a pinch of salt or more cayenne pepper if desired for extra heat.
      5. Cool and Use:
Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool slightly before using. Toss it with your favorite wings, drizzle it over fries, or serve as a dip!

      Presentation Ideas:

      • Toss with crispy chicken wings and serve with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
      • Drizzle over loaded fries or nachos for a spicy kick.
      • Use as a dipping sauce for chicken tenders, veggies, or even pizza crust.

      Tips:

      • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less cayenne pepper.
      • For a creamier buffalo sauce, stir in a tablespoon of ranch or blue cheese dressing.
      • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat gently before using.
