Fall is in the air, and nothing pairs better with crisp autumn days than a slice of this Autumn Harvest Apple Cheesecake Loaf. Imagine a moist, spiced apple bread layered with a rich cheesecake swirl—it’s a dessert, breakfast, or snack that’s as comforting as it is delicious. With the warm flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg and bursts of fresh apple in every bite, this loaf is perfect for cozy moments with family or friends.

      Ingredients

      For the Apple Loaf:

      • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
      • 1 teaspoon baking powder
      • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
      • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
      • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
      • 1/4 teaspoon salt
      • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
      • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
      • 1/4 cup brown sugar
      • 2 large eggs
      • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
      • 1/2 cup whole milk
      • 1 1/2 cups peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)

      For the Cheesecake Swirl:

      • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
      • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
      • 1 large egg
      • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

      Equipment Needed

      • Loaf pan (9×5 inch)
      • Mixing bowls
      • Electric mixer
      • Spatula

      Instructions

      1. Preheat the Oven:
        • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
      2. Make the Apple Loaf Batter:
        • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
        • In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
        • Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until well combined.
        • Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
        • Gently fold in the diced apples.
      3. Prepare the Cheesecake Swirl:
        • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
      4. Assemble the Loaf:
        • Pour half of the apple loaf batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
        • Spoon the cheesecake mixture on top, spreading it into an even layer.
        • Top with the remaining apple loaf batter, spreading gently to cover the cheesecake layer.
        • Use a knife to swirl the layers together lightly for a marbled effect.
      5. Bake the Loaf:
        • Bake in the preheated oven for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
        • Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
      6. Serve and Enjoy:
        • Slice and serve at room temperature or slightly warm. Pair with a cup of coffee or tea for a cozy fall experience.

      Tips for Success

      • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a balance of sweetness and tang.
      • Ensure the cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps in the cheesecake swirl.
      • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
