This recipe delivers perfectly cooked pasta coated in a creamy, rich cheese sauce that’s sure to satisfy. Whether you’re making it for a family meal or as a side for a potluck, this mac and cheese will be an instant hit.

      Equipment:

      • Instant Pot (6-quart or larger)
      • Wooden spoon or spatula
      • Measuring cups and spoons

      Ingredients:

      • 1 pound elbow macaroni
      • 4 cups water
      • 1 teaspoon salt
      • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
      • 1 cup whole milk
      • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
      • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
      • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
      • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
      • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

      Instructions:

      1. Cook the Pasta:
        • Add macaroni, water, salt, and butter to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.
        • Close the lid and set the valve to “Sealing.” Cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.
      2. Quick Release:
        • Once the cooking time is up, perform a quick release of pressure. Carefully open the lid.
      3. Prepare the Sauce:
        • Stir the pasta to loosen it up. Add milk, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
      4. Adjust Consistency:
        • If the sauce is too thick, add more milk a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
      5. Serve:
        • Serve immediately while warm and creamy.

      Presentation Ideas:

      • Garnish with a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley or extra grated Parmesan.
      • Pair with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
      • Serve in individual ramekins for a fun and elegant touch.

      Tips:

      • Use freshly grated cheese for the best melting and flavor.
      • Avoid pre-shredded cheese, as it contains anti-caking agents that may affect the sauce’s creaminess.
      • Add cooked bacon bits or a handful of breadcrumbs on top for extra texture and flavor.
